Marketing Coordinator / Copy Writer

If you love to write and edit, are fascinated by innovative print and digital solutions to marketing, print and publication customers and thrive at hitting deadlines, PrintComm / Marketing Impact wants to meet you. Our creative services department is looking for a Marketing Coordinator / Copy Writer who can help our Business Development, Internal Marketing and Executive Account teams create compelling materials for prospects from a wide range of verticals and industries. We’re not looking for someone to copy-paste a template and change around some names; we want to hire an ambitious writer who can convey marketing concepts and explain the practical application of PrintComm / Marketing Impact services and strategies.

In addition to superb writing and editing skills, we need a willing team player who’s comfortable with shifting deadlines, tech / social media savvy and can help us project-manage multiple marketing communications and publications. Additionally, candidates must be able to effectively proofread print and digital publications, web pages, emails and print materials for a broad spectrum of clients.

Job duties will include:          

  • Write and edit a high volume of marketing materials demonstrating an expert understanding of our core services and strategies.
  • Elite editing skills. You must be comfortable serving as the last set of eyes before materials leave the door. Ensure that any piece of marketing or any proposal you review is 100% clean and error-free.
  • Strong cross-departmental communication skills and deadline coordination.
  • Managing editorial submission deadlines and project task lists for several state home builder associations. Coordinating all editorial elements for the respective publications.
  • Research industry trends and statistics to help PrintComm / Marketing Impact explain why we are “more than just print.”
  • Writing occasional stories for publications; setting up and conducting interviews as necessary.
  • Perform document comparison on PDF documents, checking for inconsistencies and errors in layout and copy.
  • Help set and adhere to company copy standards.
  • Update and maintain digital publications website.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Marketing, English or related field is preferable)
  • 2+ years of writing/editing experience preferred
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite
  • Demonstrated experience using Adobe Acrobat for annotating documents
Customer Service Representative

PrintComm is a national, full-service marketing, printing and integrated digital solutions firm with more than 50 years of experience across multiple industries. We deliver innovative marketing, print, direct mail and cross media solutions that enhance response rates, sales revenues and return on investment. At this time, we’re looking to add a full-time hourly Customer Service Representative within our Headquarters located in Flint.

Position Requirements & Details:

We have a wonderful opportunity for an energetic, dependable, motivated Customer Service Representative to join our team. CSRs are responsible for serving as the inside portion of the sales team and act as the liaison between PrintComm and our clients.

As a CSR, you will develop business relationships with specifically assigned accounts and provide them with the highest possible level of customer care and responsiveness. Telephone support, taking customer specs and meeting tight deadlines are just a few of the challenges encountered each day. Duties include communicating with customers, salespersons, scheduling and production to ensure delivery of product, reviewing daily workflow, and other daily tasks mentioned below.

Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal skills, as well as a strong problem solving ability. You must be able to handle multiple projects and prioritize many things at once. High levels of customer care experience and attention to detail are critical to the success of any candidate. Candidate must enjoy working with people and building relationships.

The perfect candidate will have experience in the printing industry, but we are willing to train exceptional applicants.

Here’s What We’re Looking For:

Project Management Skills:

  • Work with assigned sales rep and production staff as well as customers for due dates, progress, status reports, etc. of print jobs
  • Reviewing daily workflow and monitor jobs through the production cycle
  • Meeting tight deadlines
  • Review and send proofs to customers & perform timely follow up on proofs and quotes
  • Maintain knowledge of every job and its current status
  • Customer assistance with inquiries (by telephone and/or email)
  • Manage customer inventory
  • Ability to identify and meet customers’ needs and requirements

Daily Skills:

  • Excellent command of the English language (in both written and oral forms)
  • Good math skills
  • Strong attention to details, possessing a sales aptitude and interested in preventing errors and solving problems
  • Good sense of design and color
  • Must be hardworking, a self-starter and a problem solver
  • Must be computer literate and current on new technology

PrintComm is a national, full-service marketing, printing and integrated digital solutions firm with more than 50 years of experience across multiple industries. We deliver innovative marketing, print, direct mail and cross media solutions that enhance response rates, sales revenues and return on investment. At this time, we’re looking to add a Bindery Operator within our Headquarters located in Flint.

The position is available for first or second shift (8-hour shifts) depending on work load/customer orders. During peak seasons, this person must also be able and willing to work longer hours (up to 12 hours) and Saturdays. This is a Full-Time Position that includes: Health, Dental & Vision Insurance after 90 Days, Short & Long Term Disability, 401K & Vacation Time after One Year.

Position Requirements & Details:

Due to the fast-paced environment, the successful candidate must be able to multitask and work in high-pressure situations. Also, the successful candidate must be able to stand for long periods, consistently lift 40lbs, handle 28 x40 130# cover stock and push or pull full skids of paper using a pallet jack. Candidate must have experience within Bindery Operations, no exceptions.

Here’s What We’re Looking For:

  • Good mechanical skills with the ability to perform general maintenance on equipment
  • Previous experience setting-up and operating various bindery equipment including:
    • Folders
    • Cutters
    • Binders
  • Knowledge of different paper types including:
    • Coated
    • Uncoated
    • Text & Cover
