The UV Coater Operator will ensure the production of a quality product in proper production sequence.

The Position is Responsible for:

• Operation of the UV coaters to ensure the machines are running on schedule to company standards
• Make necessary changes and set-ups as needed to ensure customer deliveries are made on time. This includes and is not limited to any coating mixtures, proper roller settings, and UV lamp settings
• Watch finished product, stacking, and other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
• Record operational data on specified forms
• Assist in loading and unloading the machine
• Make sure machines are properly lubricated and running at proper speeds
• Adjust or repair machines to maintain efficiencies in production or the reduction in waste. Assign employees to other machines to complete production requirements
• Make sure areas of the plant are kept clean and safe
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management

Competency of Position Requirements:

• Watch key indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
• Control operations of equipment or systems
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment
• Understand written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents to do their job function properly
• Monitor UV lamps, speed, and finish to ensure a quality coating
• Examine coated material for defects such as, uncoated surfaces, lines and scratches
