Human Resource Manager

We have a new opportunity for a Human Resources leader who can work collaboratively to develop and delivers HR services for operations and functional teams while serving as a talent & business partner to the leadership team to steward our growth. The HR Manager will be responsible for developing a team culture that drives high performance and keeps safety top of mind.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Partner:

  • Serve on the PrintComm Management team providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions
  • Develop and drive performance across HR KPI’s to achieve operating results
  • Supports core annual business cycle planning including, but not limited to strategy & business planning, budgeting, compensation planning, performance management, and succession planning

Employee Relations & Communications:

  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge of Human Resources through coaching and counseling Managers and employees.
  • Act as an impartial advocate for all employees, ensuring that all issues are properly identified, reported, and resolved.
  • Develop, implement, and manage employee communication and engagement initiatives that contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Conducts exit interviews and analyzes turnover to monitor and improve retention programs.
  • Provides current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion and employee benefits.

Talent Acquisition and Development:

  • Lead all recruitment efforts; design and implement strategies, processes, programs, and tools to attract and select a high performing team.
  • Lead optimization of onboarding process and support training and career development to support a positive employee experience.
  • Owner of talent development, engagement, and retention activities; delivers or coordinates delivery of training for employees.
  • Champion and coach, the leadership team in best practices in talent acquisition, retention, and succession planning.

Human Resources Administration, Compensation, Benefits and Safety:

  • Ensure key aspects of Human Resources Administration, Compensation, Benefits and Safety are delivered in compliance with corporate policy and Federal, State, and local laws.
  • Conducts or participates in periodic wage surveys among local employers and make recommendations to ensure competitive incentives excluding management.
  • Manages and ensures data integrity of employee documentation, personnel files, and HR Information.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HRD, psychology, organization development, business, behavioral sciences, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years professional experience, with 2+ years of experience in an HR role within a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of experience in management role preferred not required
  • Direct experience utilizing technology – social media, talent management systems, Microsoft office applications
  • Able to read, speak and write fluently in English

Expediter/Material Handler

Full-time

The Expediter’s main job is to make sure that operators have materials are supplied to them based on the sequence in our scheduling system. They ensure that all work in-process and jobs to be shipped are staged in the proper location. As a material replenishment position, the Expediter must be intimate with scheduling processes and people they are supporting to fully understand the needs. The goal with this position is to maintain the continuous, efficient flow of materials between the warehouse, the manufacturing areas, and shipping.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Expediter’s main job is to make sure that materials, i.e., paper, shells, non-job chargeable materials, etc. are supplied to the proper location, when they are needed so there is no down time
  • As a material replenishment position, the expediter must be intimate with the processes and people they are supporting to fully understand the needs.
  • Stock all workstations and bays near devices stocked with proper items
  • Review daily cost center crewing reports/schedules for each department and production orders to develop understanding of what is needed where
  • In a timely manner pull and deliver material/parts to the production floor:
  • Point-of-use (Delivery)
  • Removal of empty skids and scrap
  • Responsible for the Kanban cards and process in designated areas
  • Responsible for matching parts needed to complete customer orders
  • Work with individual department leads to insure proper inventory of needed materials and parts
  • Responsible for unloading and staging deliveries and receiving in the system as necessary
  • Accountable for inventory accuracy of shells and cut stock from production and warehouse locations
  • Perform cycle counts as requested
  • Responsible to use FIFO material handling (First in First Out)
  • Maintain and apply 5S and Lean concepts in designated areas
  • Work extra hours when needed
  • Other duties as needed

Industrial Maintenance Technician

Full-time

Troubleshoot and identify electrical and mechanical problems. Repair complex electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment. Utilize multi-skilled approach to problem solving and testing equipment and diagrams to isolate problems. Understand and utilize a wide array of tools and equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for both planned maintenance and emergency repairs in the entire manufacturing facility to include equipment and facilities.
  • The nature of the job requires employees to be multi-skilled professionals as any task might require certain mechanical and/or electrical consideration
  • Perform repairs, preventative and predictive maintenance of equipment and facilities demonstrating both mechanical and electrical knowledge as it relates to hydraulic, pneumatic schematics, control systems, general electric equipment, power distribution, power supply, drives, ac/dc motors, computer, and PLC hardware
  • Coordinate the daily activities that are required to complete the repairs, PMs and projects on the production equipment for the other members on the crew
  • Provide information to personnel on all shifts
  • Troubleshoot and correct problems affecting safety, waste, quality, and throughput
  • Work at heights to perform building maintenance as required wearing the proper PPE
  • Assist in providing correct part numbers and ordering information as needed
  • Coordinate major repairs and projects
QUALIFICATIONS/TRAITS:
  • Possess Technical Skills to complete both Mechanical and Electrical repairs on all the equipment in the facility
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of staffing to coordinate the completion of work as needed through the skills and talents of the operators.
  • Ability to read both Mechanical and Electrical Drawings
  • Ability to work Overtime as needed
  • Manage personal workload in a busy environment with conflicting demands, working effectively as a member of a team
  • High School Diploma or Vocational Training and 5 to 7 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing facility
  • Electrical Fundamentals, PLC Hardware, Mechanical Fundamentals, Power Transmissions, Pneumatic Components and Hydraulic Components

Warehouse Supervisor

Full-time

The Warehouse Supervisor develops and coordinates shipping and inventory activities and systems. Shipping and inventory activities are focused on company targets to ensure Customer satisfaction both internally and externally. Primary objectives include:

  • Insure on time and cost-efficient delivery performance on all shipment
  • Develop and maintain an orderly and accurate inventory/warehouse environment
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supervise associates in shipping, staging and inventory area
  • Support customer shipping needs.
  • Support outside processor/suppliers, assist with coordinating shipments to and from suppliers
  • Facilitate Accurate Inventory Control encompassing accurate and timely receiving and deduction of materials and maintaining accurate counts and locations in inventory systems.
  • Keep shipping areas clean and organized
  • Create Bills of Ladings for daily shipments and book shipments
  • Interact with truck drivers.
  • Manage PrintComm truck driver schedules for optimum usage.
  • Make sure 100% of pieces scheduled to ship are shipped on time every day
  • Verify all loading of trucks. This includes ensuring correct counts, destinations, paperwork, and loading so product isn’t damaged in transit.
  • Facilitate communication between shifts.
  • Enforce work rules and regulations.
  • Execute FIFO material usage.
  • When material is received, receive properly in MIS system and put away in organized fashion
  • Other duties as instructed by Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS/TRAITS:
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Previous experience with Inventory Management Systems
  • Proficiency with database applications and administration systems, specifically Microsoft Office.
  • Must be a highly motivated, service and team-oriented individual with an attention to detail. Strong analytical ability
  • Problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated good internal/external customer service skills
  • Overtime is required at times

Bindery Operator

Full-time

Position Requirements:

PrintComm is currently accepting resumes for an experienced, full-time Bindery Operators to join our team at our Flint, Michigan, headquarters. The desired candidate will be operating various pieces of equipment in our bindery and finishing area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Operating Cutters, folders, stitchers and other bindery equipment
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of bindery, finishing, and mailing equipment operation
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Able to lift 40-50 pounds frequently throughout the shift
  • Able to stand for entire shift
  • Able to use a ruler and knowledge of fractions and decimals
EXPERIENCE:
  • At least three years’ experience operating folders, cutters, and stitching equipment.
  • Must be able to set up machines, i.e. folders, cutters, on your own.
  • Knowledge of mail processes and equipment, i.e ink jet, tabbing, and inserting is a plus.

Bindery Helper

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The individuals we hire will be processing mail, operating digital printing or finishing equipment, or working in our warehouse. No previous experience is required, we can train you. Basic computer skills and problem solving skills are essential. Previous experience in printing or direct mail is preferred but not required. There is some lifting required and some positions required standing for extended periods so you must be capable of doing that.

Applicant must have High School Diploma or GED a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Compensation:

Positions are paid hourly on a bi-weekly basis. Rate is commensurate with experience.
